  1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees.

  2. Peel away the membrane from bone side of slab. Use a knife to get it started then just pull with your fingers.

  3. Coat the meat side only with Appalachian Pork Rub. The more you use the more spicy it will be.

  4. Wrap tightly in aluminum foil and place on a shallow baking pan.

  5. Cook for 2 ½ to 3 hours or until internal temperature reaches 190-195 degrees.

  6. Remove from oven, unwrap foil and drain fat. Set oven to broil.

  7. Brush ribs with BBQ sauce and broil until sauce is caramelized, around 10-15 minutes. Remove from oven and let stand for 3-5 minutes before serving.

Note

*Recommendation: Serve with your favorite bbq side dishes like potato salad, mac & cheese, coleslaw, baked beans, and/or braised greens.
